|SABRINA IN A NUTSHELL: Sabrina is a young (probably close to a year old), purebred female who has been more neglected than mistreated and/or abused. She needs socialization and more "world experience" to become a well-rounded shepherd. She is cautious upon introduction, but warms up quickly, especially if you have treats.|
Our facebook angel, Kathy J, was on the lookout and came across this sweet little girl in a California kill shelter. She had some in as a stray in mid-March and was waiting for her stray hold to be up. In the meantime, she was not dealing well with shelter life -- needless to say, she was scared to death. We asked for a dog-to-dog intro and received this video:
We immediately gave the go-ahead to get this girl outta Dodge as soon as she could be released. Our thanks go out to Tanaya at the shelter, who was kind enough to provide the videos; to Lisa and Tina to did the CTA (Commitment To Adopt) and pull; and to Tera, who transported yet another of our furkids to safety.
Sabrina will be given some time to decompress before transport to Phoenix is arranged for her.
UPDATE 4/6: Sabrina made her way to Phoenix this afternoon and is safely tucked in with one of our staff members to begin the search for her forever home.
UPDATE 4/10: Good friends Bolt and Sabrina were checked in to Doggie District this afternoon for some playtime and socialization:
Adoption fee $395.00.
