| RUBY IN A NUTSHELL: Initially shy, but warms up quickly when given the chance. May do well with an older, calm, large male partner, but might prefer a home as an only dog. Usually does better with women than with men. Her age is guesstinated to be between 3 and 5 years. |
| Ruby and her partner, Scout, were pulled from a kill shelter in California approximately a year ago and were quickly adopted into what should have been their forever home by our good friend, supporter and multi-dog adopter, Chriss.

Unfortunately, it's not going well. Ruby has become reactive with Kirk's smaller dog (a male) and his larger Doberman (a female, seen with Ruby at right), and Kirk has turned to us for help in rehoming Ruby.

Sadly, Chriss passed away very unexpectedly and her dear friend, Kirk, who already had three dogs of his own, kept his promise to her and
took on Scout and Ruby, as well as a small, elderly mixed breed male dog. Scout passed away from bone cancer in November, and Ruby was left without her security blanket to find her place in the new household.
