This handsome, 18 month old youngster is Rogan. He came into a California shelter as a stray with another dog. After his stray hold was up, he became available for adoption.

We know he had one meet-and-greet with a potential adoptive family with children. Even though he was "amazing," the family did not adopt him because the wife wanted a smaller dog. He also passed his dog-to-dog evaluation with flying colors but, again, no adoptive family appeared.

According to Susanne at the shelter, "He's super sweet, ... He's a big puppy, around 12-18 months and probably around 90lbs."

Thanks to Susanne R for taking such beautiful photos of this boy and for helping us with the video!

After seeing the video, we reached out to our transport friends, Chuck and Jon at Husky Camp, to see if they could pick Rogan up this week and, of course, they could!

Rogan has left the building!
On the way to Husky Camp

Rogan has taken up temporary residence at Husky Camp and will be heading to Phoenix on Tuesday, October 20th. Upon arrival, he will be updated on shots as needed and microchipped. If a foster home is not available for him, he will be going to Doggie District for some fun and socialization.

Rogan likes to give hugs!

UPDATE 10/20: Rogan has arrived in Phoenix! One of our staff members drove to Quartzsite this morning to pick up Rogan. What a sweet (and big) puppy he is!

Jon and Rogan

Rogan will be seeing our groomer tomorrow and then heading to Doggie District by the end of the week where our volunteer trainer, Jordan, will be working with him. We will also be kitty and small dog testing him.

Adoption fee $395.00.
