CASINO aka "CASSIE"

Cassie is a 4yo spayed female

Vaccinated, chipped, crate and house trained.
We plan on starting with the socializing she needs on November 4th.
Please check back for updates.

Cassie's Good Samaritans, while at their summer residence, pulled her from the pound in Washington state in the hopes that a local rescue would handle re-homing her.

That did not happen so she is arriving their winter residence in AZ on October 26th.
We will give her time to recover from the scary plane ride and has had an opportunity to acclimate to her new foster home, after which we will meet and work with her.

We know that she is a friendly and affectionate gal that needs to be socialized around strange dogs, something we do on a regular basis.
Unless we find a local foster home for her, she will remain with them up North.
Since they have 2 of their own GSDs and have to travel to us for training, it would be best if we were able to locate a Phoenix area foster:

November 4th-evaluation: We spent a few hours with Cassie this weekend and here's what we have learned.

This is the sweetest most affectionate youngster on four feet!. She is, simply, an over sized puppy; her intake paperwork from the shelter in WA indicated 4 years old but we, and another GSD handler, put her at closer to barely 2 years old.

Regardless, Cassie is a high energy, playful pup in need of the usual training..seems her previous owners taught her little to nothing and all she knows is "sit". That said, she is super smart and learns very quickly. She does have some mouthing and jumping behaviors typical of an untrained puppy yet was VERY responsive to corrections.

Cassie was also represented as dog aggressive....she is not. Just another case of no socialization or leadership and lack of exposure to things unfamiliar to her. In fact, she is a surprisingly confident gal..very sound..just slightly uncertain around strange dogs.

We worked with her one-on-one then headed over to Boot Camp for some group immersion.

Here she is meeting our tester dog Brady; eventually doing the sniffing thing which is what we want, did allow just a quick sniff from him and by our next meeting with her, Cassie will allow him a full 'sniff over'.

So, does this look like an aggressive dog?

Above-1st Up Close & Personal Meeting--NO snarling growling or snapping

ALLOWING A MATURE MALE TO COME FROM BEHIND WITH NO OVER REACTION, THEN A GOOD HEALTHY "SNIFF"

TOTALLY SURROUNDED, ALERT YET TOTALLY RELAXED....GOOD DOG!

Cassie is a confident, balanced youngster currently working on basic training and socialization. She will be fine placed with another (male) dog. She's a bit too exuberant for toddlers, kids 10yo or older would be best. We do not know about cats yet. She is spayed, crate, leash and house trained, vaccinated, chipped and healthy. She would prefer an active family or couple willing to continue with her training and belly rubs.

Adoption fee $395.00.
