|BOLT IN A NUTSHELL: Wonderful family dog. Loves people, other dogs and children. Likes to play fetch.|
|Bolt is an owner surrender that comes to us from a loving family that includes several young children. His mom describes him as the "perfect dog," but unfortunately Bolt's family's circumstances have forced them into a move to a place which does not offer Bolt the yard he is used to, nor the indoor privileges. His heartbroken mom posted his plight on Facebook and, as chance would have it, one of our staff's family member's saw the post and immediately forwarded to us.
According to Bolt's owner, "I have a white German shepherd named Bolt. He is a year and a half and such a great dog. Heís great with all people, kids and dogs. Heís up-to-date on shots and is fixed. Unfortunately I moved in with family in a small house and itís not fair to him to stay in a small backyard. Heís been to dog parks since Iíve had him and has never had a problem; no biting or anything like that. If he gets too bored, he chewed on wood once. He doesnít like loud noises; he will run and try to hide. ...He does great with kids. I have a 1 year old and heís very gentle with him. ...Heís very playful and can be overwhelming if not with the right dog match. He knows sit, lay down and the word 'no' when heís not supposed to be doing something; he generally will walk away and lay down. He loves to play fetch and isnít fond of water."
