| *BEN & JERRY* IN A NUTSHELL: Just getting to know these youngsters |
| We were contacted by a family friend of the owner in early November about the possibility of taking in two male puppies (DOB: 6-13-2023). The owner of the puppies had had a litter of pups, was having difficulty in placing them and was in need of some assistance in finding good homes for them. Since 2023 seems to have been Puppy Palooza around WGSDR, we of course agreed to taking on the boys once we confirmed that their male had been neutered and there would be no more puppies.
UPDATE 11/11: The boys were surrendered to our rescue this morning.
From what we're seeing early on, Ben (blue collar and the darker of the two) is the ringleader. He is the more bold of the two; whereas, Jerry (red collar) is willing to go along with anything his brother comes up with -- I'm right behind you, Ben!! We're going to give the boys some time to settle in and get comfortable. They are scheduled for neuter surgery on November 28th and will be available for introductions and adoptions shortly thereafter.
UPDATE 11/12:
UPDATE 11/13: Happy Five Month Birthday, boys!!  UPDATE 11/28: Both boys were neutered today and came through their surgeries just fine. They were also microchipped and received their rabies vaccinations. Coincidentally, they both weighed in at 41 pounds. They are now ready to go to their new homes -- just in time for the holidays!! Adoption fee $425.00/each.
